Advanced Laser Cutting Capabilities
HMMI proudly utilizes advanced automated laser cutting capabilities to produce quality components quickly and with minimal burring. Our state-of-the-art 6,500-watt laser, with an impressive 70-sheet capacity and 6-foot by 12-foot bed, rapidly burns through material up to .5 inch thick, processing up to 48,000 pounds in just 24 hours. Coupled with an automated material storage and retrieval system capable of holding multiple sizes of material, our advanced laser cutting capabilities ensure quality results delivered fast.
High-DefinitiOn Plasma Cutting
For longer material, such as the strips used to create custom booms, we use our high-definition plasma cutting capabilities. Our plasma cutter easily burns through material from 1/8 inch to 1.5 inch thick and up to 40 feet long, ensuring precision results for reliable heavy equipment fabrication.
Oversized Oxy-Fuel Cutting
As the Midwest's leading large and heavy fabrication provider, we maintain oversized oxy-fuel cutting capabilities that power through material up to 6 inches thick, 8 feet wide, and 40 feet long, ensuring accuracy and quality for the largest fabrication requirements.

Advanced CNC Bandsaw Cutting
Our advanced cutting capabilities include the Marvel CNC bandsaw with 45-degree angle cutting, ensuring accuracy and quality. For simple, straight-forward cuts, we save the big boys for what they do best and rev up our 12-inch-diameter horizontal and vertical bandsaws.
Hydraulic Presses
HMMI also maintains two 100-ton hydraulic presses with a 50-inch by 51-inch capacity.
